Vi befinder os i en flod af billeder. Vi fremstiller ustoppeligt os selv og verden i billeder. Vi siger, at vi skal se det for at tro det. Passer det? Lægger øjet mod øret er et tværkunstnerisk samarbejdsprojekt, der udfordrer en billeddyrkende kultur gennem undersøgelser af ørets – stærkt undervurderede (?) – betydning for, hvad øjet ser.
Gennem eksperimenter med såvel auditiv som visuel manipulation krølles det papirtynde underlag vi bygger vores virkelighedsopfattelse på.

A laboratory for perception.
We are flooded by images. We relentlessly produce images of ourselves and the world. We say that we need to see it to believe it. Is it true? With The Eye To The Ear (the project’s title) is an interdisciplinary collaborative project that challenges an image-worshipping culture by exploring the ear’s – vastly underestimated (?) – influence on what the eye sees.
Through experiments with both auditory and visual manipulation, the paper-thin foundation upon which we build our perception of reality is twisted and reshaped.
