Improvisation for people with and without disabilities

A series of inclusive-led dance improvisation classes for a mixed-ability community. If you love moving for no reason other than the joy of it, that’s enough reason to join. No experience is necessary—come as you are.

What to expect

Together, we create a welcoming and supportive space where we connect to ourselves, the room, and one another through improvisation and guided creative tasks. We are an inclusive teaching team with more than 30 years of combined experience in integrated dance. The classes follow a similar structure throughout the week while remaining responsive to what emerges in the room each day.

You are welcome to attend a single class or join the full series.

The classes support all of us to build confidence, have fun, and discover the many ways dance can make sense.

About the Teachers

Nicola Visser is a community dance artist with 30 years of experience in teaching and performing integrated dance.

Astrid Elmstrøm is a wheelchair user and integrated dance practitioner with five years of experience.
