A Month in Motion
Dance Beyond Boundaries – A Journey Through Movement, Storytelling, and Social Change
Join this 90-minute workshop and discover the beauty of Sadhir/Bharatanatyam, a South Indian classical dance tradition with over 2,200 years of history.
More than a dance form, Indian classical dance is a powerful language of movement, rhythm, and storytelling that connects people across cultures and communities. Open to all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels, this workshop offers an accessible introduction to its expressive movements, rhythms, and creative storytelling techniques.
Together, we will explore how this art form can be reimagined beyond the barriers of caste, elitism, and exclusivity. Through movement, reflection, and discussion, participants will discover how dance can foster connection, self-expression, and social change.
Whether you are curious about Indian classical dance, interested in storytelling through movement, or simply looking for a new cultural experience, this workshop welcomes everyone to experience Sadhir/Bharatanatyam as a living art form that belongs to all.
