I dette residens udvikler koreograf Yael Gaathon, videokunstner Christoffer Brekne og komponist Kristian Hverring både tekniske og kunstneriske løsninger til en interaktiv AI-avatarinstallation, som bliver en del af den interdiciplinære performance What Lies Beneath.

Projektet undersøger, hvordan vores forhold til teknologier påvirker vores mentale tilstand og opfattelse af sandhed. Sammen med forskningspartnere fra Canada (Chimerik) og Aarhus Universitet udforskes brugen af sensorer, forskellige typer videooptagelser, lydplacering, visuelle elementer, rumligt design og dramatisk kontekst.

In residency October 19-29, 2026

In this residency, choreographer Yael Gaathon, video artist Christoffer Brekne, and composer Kristian Hverring will develop technical and artistic solutions to an interactive AI avatar installation, which will be part of the interdiciplinary performance What Lies Beneath.

The project investigates how our relationship with technologies affect our mental state and perception of truth. Together with research partners from Canada (Chimerik) and Aarhus University, the team will explore the use of sensors, different types of video footage, sound placement, visuals, spatial design and dramatic context.
